Full Professor at Institute for Social Medicine – State University of Rio de Janeiro

Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Pernambuco, Dr. Freire specialized in Psychiatry. He is part of the Círculo Psicanalítico do Rio de Janeiro. His research interests include psychoanalysis, subjectivity, and Winnicott, body and mind. In recent years, he has examined themes such as autism and first-person narrative, pathological deficit, and identity diversity.
